Dawn Nelson has been in the hair care industry since graduating from Plymouth College of Beauty in 1996. Through the years, she has progressed from working in other salons to owning Ann Arbor Hair Studio, where she has built a solid business for herself and her clients.

Dawn believes in ongoing training so she can give her clients the best possible care. Her training has made her capable of a multitude of design and techniques. She has had prior training with Schwarzkopf, Irvine Rusk and Tony and Guy (TiGi). Dawn has also traveled to California to study with Michael O’Rourke (owner of Sexy Hair), at the Institute of Courage.

Dawn specializes in razor cutting as well as precision cutting, and has a master eye for determining colors that fit a persons look and life style.
